Is a multi-instrumentalist and sound researcher, rooted deeply in 1980s Berlin sound adventures. In 1986 he joined the band Mona Mur with Alex Hacke and F. M. Einheit.
He founded the band Crime and the City Solution, their song The Adversary is featured in Wim Wender’s film Until the end of the World. Among his numerous collaborations, he played with, live mixed and produced artists like Meret Becker, Chrislo Haas, Jaki Liebezeit, Jasmin Tabatabai, Phew, Mick Harvey, Danielle de Picciotto, Einstürzende Neubauten, Ton, Steine, Scherben, The Swans and played a major role in defining their signature sound.
