After her studies of Media and Musical Composition in Brazil, Laura Mello went to Vienna to study Electroacoustic Music, where she won the Theodor Körner Prize. Living now between Vienna and Berlin, she works as a composer-creator, thinking concepts for different formats, having sound as the starting point and the spoken language as a recurrent material.

Her intermedia performances, interventions, compositions and DJ-sets have been presented at Konzerthaus Berlin/Vienna, Tonspur at MQ21 Vienna, Märzmusik, Berlin Biennale, Wiener Bezirksfestwochen, Euro-Latin Performance Tour, Festival der Regionen, Paraflows, New Adits, HörenSehen2.0, Club Transmediale, LaborSonor, Tanztage Berlin, 48 Stunden Neukölln, Documenta Kassel.
Laura is lecturer for music/sound at the University Bayreuth and member of the Sound Art Project Space Errant Sound, Berlin.
